CRIT organizes an advanced inter-company training course on the theme “Design of manufactured articles in plastic materials“, with the collaboration of FM Srl (CRIT Endorsed Suppliers Network), a company specialized in the production and design of plastic products and able to carry out projects of industrial research relating to the world of polymeric materials thanks to its FM Lab. Course content The course will last 8 hours (2 half-days lasting 4 hours) and will take place on 27 and 28 October 2016 at CRIT. The following topics will be covered during the sessions: 1. Advanced processing of the injection molding process:

• Elements of rheology of the melts of polymeric materials;
• Analysis of the phases and the main parameters of the process;
• Analysis of the main process defects (symptoms, causes, remedies);
• Definition of a rational methodology of approach to injection molding (Pragmatic Stamping);

2. CAE simulators:

• Product EWCs (structural FEM analysis);
• Process CAE (simulation of the injection molding process and other transformation technologies);

3. Advanced design elements (molds, casting systems, integrated hinges …) 4. Extended treatment of tolerances related to items made of polymeric material with examples 5. Advanced case histories

Costs and methods of participation

For member companies and companies adhering to the Accredited Suppliers Network, the cost is € 450 per participant for the first and second enrolled; for the third and subsequent the cost is instead of € 400 per participant. For companies that are not members of the CRIT Network, the cost is € 500 per participant.
