Event description

The development of a new prototype involves different functions and departments within companies, starting from design and production.

The resources dedicated to prototyping are often subject to re-planning, since they are strongly linked to commercial dynamics, such as delivery times to customers or presentation of prototypes in fairs.

Depending on the characteristics of the project, the management of prototypes may require the participation of personnel and resources regularly dedicated to new products (eg: rapid prototyping machines for core production), or partial or total assignment to a network of external suppliers, specialized in the production and assembly of small series of components.

The roundtable has as objectives the sharing of good practices in the management of prototypes and the benchmark on the business organization methods identified for this type of activity.
