The optimization of industrial energy consumption

Date

Wed 19 Apr 2017

Event description

The seminar has the main purpose of presenting innovative technologies in the field of energy optimization of industrial processes, and to such a level of development as to allow an industrial application in a short time. Energy saving has in fact emerged powerfully, in recent years, as a key factor of competitiveness for industrial companies, in particular those of Western countries.

The REEMAIN project is part of this, funded by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Research Program and aimed at promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in manufacturing contexts. The innovations presented will be inherent to hardware aspects (smart devices for industry, energy recovery systems), software (big data analytics, decision support systems) and even financial (subsidized public and private finance). Case studies of applications to industrial processes will also be presented.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Program for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 608977
